Cobham Rugby

Au revoir and welcome

Thank you to full back Jean Louis and warm welcome to Ross

On Saturday  Jean Louis-Gravier played his last match for the club as he is moving away for work.

He has been a stalwart in the backline in both  attack  & defence since 2011/2012 when he made a winning debut off the bench for the 1st XV against Sutton & Epsom in the Surrey Cup Final. He is another Mini/Youth player who has come through the club, gone off to university & returned. His last match for 1st XV was last weekends win against Dover. He has been a big part of the club on & off the field & will be missed by all his team mates. We wish him all the best & will always be welcome back at Cobham.

Stats: Jean Louis-Gravier

1stxv: Position Fullback, 64 Caps 10 tries 5 conversions 5 penalties Awards: Players Player of the season 2013

Returning back to the club Ross Jones Davies  turned out for the 2nd XV last weekend against Dorking & returning to 1st XV this weekend for his 2nd debut. Ross first played for the 1st XV at 18 when he was thrown in at the deep end by former DOR & club legend Billy Davison when the club had a raft of injuries at fly half.

Ross made his debut in 2008 at 18, played 7 matches helping the team win  6 of 7 matches he was involved in. Ross then headed to South Africa for university . He returned to the UK & played for Jersey Rugby Club 1st XV & then more recently Richmond 1st XV

Ross returns to the club at a fantastic time & is looking forward to adding to the depth of the current senior squad & play along side players who he was once team mates with in the mini & youth section.
