England Rugby and Mitsubishi Motors have developed the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Programme to provide the local rugby community and grassroots rugby clubs, with opportunities to recognise and reward the volunteers who make up an integral part of the game.
From the kit washers to the line painters, the game we love wouldn’t be the same without the people who work tirelessly behind the scenes. With over 100,000 volunteers across the country who give back to grassroots rugby, week in, week out, the Mitsubishi Motors Volunteer Recognition Programme is the way to say thank you.
Here at Cobham RFC we are always looking for new volunteers to fulfil a number of roles across the club and embraced a new initiative last season as part of our Hands Up campaign. We also launched our inaugural Value the Value The Volunteer Lunch last season to recognise the extensive work done behind the scenes which culminates in an annual awards held at the Summer Ball.
Carl Lemmer was invited to attend an awards function hosted by the RFU where Volunteers from other local clubs were also recognised for the services to rugby union in England.
Our 2017/18 season is not far away and there are plenty of opportunities from coaching through to accounting. For further details contact Steve Heard: firstname.lastname@example.org
