Minis & Youths Roundup - Sunday 15 October 2023

The Under 10/11 Girls team attended a Girls only Festival at Weybridge Vandals. We don't keep score in the minis age group (😜), so we are unable to confirm rumours that they played four, won four! It was a great and fun festival in the sun with first ever matches for Ayla, Isla and Hettie.

The Under 12 Boys played our neighbours Old Cranleighans - always a pleasure! Three Cobham teams played six games against OCs teams, winning four and drawing two.

The U13s Boys, Cobham Tigers lost 30-25 in a great game at home to Sevenoaks. There were debuts for Harry Harding, Zac Sharples and Be Sharples. It was a fantastic effort with a number of boys missing through injury or unavailability. We now look forward to having a return fixture after a really well contested match. The other Under 13s Boys teams saw Cobham Whites win 3-2 against Weybridge Vandals and Cobham Blues victorious 3-1.

The Under 14 Girls played Chinnor. All the players definitely thought they were Fijian for the day, as the only kicks were restarts and conversions. Chinnor ran out winners 31-54, as all coaches agreed more time will be spent on defence this week. A great game for the neutrals!

The Under 14 Boys beat Old Cranleighans 29-12. Playing against a huge OC’s pack and with only four subs, compared to 15 for OCs, skill prevailed over size. We love playing OC’s, as they have a great philosophy and incredibly well mannered group of players. 💯 win rate for the season so far, with tries for Benjamin (2), Reuben (2) and Josh Fry.

The Colts Boys team had a superb result with a 41-25 win at London Welsh, while the Under 16 Girls joined forces with Dorking (hence the kit in the picture) for their match against Wimbledon, winning 64-30.

Congratulations to every player representing Cobham last weekend.
