The 2019|2020 season begins on
Sunday 1 September 2019
At Cobham our objective is to build confidence in our boys and girls, while developing agility, coordination and fitness through training sessions that are above all fun.
Rugby’s values of Teamwork, Respect, Enjoyment, Discipline and Sportsmanship are what make the game special and are at the core of our Mini Section. It is no coincidence that three-quarters of the recent First XV squad started years earlier in the ‘Minis’.
Cobham has a strong family and community ethos. We have a large and well organised mini section which is mainly due to the dedication of our volunteers. There are many rewarding ways to participate, from coaching to catering to coordinating. You don’t have to be an expert, just enthusiastic. If you’d like to get more involved than the occasional car park duty, please contact either myself or your age group head coach or manager.
We are fortunate to have such superb grounds and facilities and we aim to make the most of them by hosting a number of mini rugby festivals and triangular tournaments, including our popular floodlit festivals.
We are always on the look-out for new recruits. If you know anyone who is wondering what to do with their Sunday mornings and who might be interested in joining, please bring them along.
Prospective players are welcome to come and try out a couple of sessions before they commit. There also is a ‘finder’s fee’ for any player whose friends sign up, so bring a friend.
