A eulogy for David Barrett
The Braemar Allstars are saddened to report the passing last week of our good friend and Treasurer, David Barrett. His close friend, one-time teammate and fellow Braemar Allstar, Pat Berton has penned the following wonderful eulogy: "We all very much regret the passing of our friend David Barrett last week after a long period of poor health. “David arrived at Cobham, as so many of us did, as a mini rugby parent in the late 90s. Saturday (25 April) was a day to remember for Cobham Rugby Club as it celebrated this extraordinary season in style. It was so very appropriate that the final game of the season was preceded by the annual Old Surbitonians RFC former players and Braemar Allstars lunch – an opportunity for past players of the Old Surbitonians and Cobham RFC to come together and recall seasons and tours gone by. The Braemar Club was formed in 1985 as a focal point for former Old Surbitonian play

2nd XV narrowly defeat Farnborough and now await league title confirmation
Saturday’s 2nd XV match delivered a burst of Fijian flair from Farnborough, whose offloading and broken‑field running kept them in the contest throughout. However, Cobham’s structure – particularly a dominant scrum and well‑organised lineout – gave the 2nd XV the control they needed. First‑half tries from Robson (2), Joyce and Hallam, plus a Pugh conversion, sent Cobham into the break leading 22–14. After the interval, further scores from Joyce and O’Connor, along with anothe

Cobham stretch unbeaten run with bonus point away win at London Cornish
After a week's break Cobham resumed their league campaign away against London Cornish (28 February). This is always a welcome fixture, not least because of family connections the Davison family have with London Cornish. Congratulations to Cornish Director of Rugby, Dickon Moon for whom this is his 23rd consecutive season. Cornish had come very close to upsetting Trinity in their last match, losing 27-25, and Cobham knew from their previous return fixtures this season that the
