Youth & Girls Rugby Teams
Cobham youth rugby is an integral part of our club, through which we have a long history of outstanding achievementd local, national and international level.
A vibrant youth section is the life blood of a club and Cobham RFC has excelled in this over the years. We provide a welcome environment for our youth players from U13 to U18, of all abilities. Training is usually between 12pm and 2pm on Sundays and we arrange a number of matches, including participating in a league competition, throughout the season.
Our approach is to apply the highest quality and dedicated coaching resources focussed on the players, not only to foster constant development of skills and ability, but also to recognise the whole individual as a maturing young person involved in a demanding sport encompassing teamwork, physical and mental strength. This coupled with exemplary sportsmanship, camaraderie and profound sense of belonging to a close knit rugby community is what we stand for.
At Cobham RFC, this approach is augmented and delivered through the provision of simply outstanding rugby playing facilities including pitches of the highest standards, a modern clubhouse that is the envy of all who visit us and also through the provision of excellent rugby training equipment, first aid and physio facilities.
We continue to work closely with local schools, providing coaching input and playing facilities where our expertise is welcomed, in striving to bring the game of rugby to as many potential players as possible so that they too can participate in all that the sport represents. This outreach is in support of the wider RFU development plans of which we as a club are wholly supportive.
Cobham Girls Rugby is an active and enjoyable environment for girls to play rugby.
You don't have to have played rugby before to join, as we are a fully inclusive club with players from divisional and county standard to new girls who have never picked up a rugby ball before.
