Cobham and London Cornish annual summer lunch

What began last year as a light-hearted ‘relegation lunch’ is now shaping up to become a cherished annual tradition. On Friday 1st August, a dozen distinguished guests from Cobham and London Cornish gathered for a superb afternoon at The Boot & Flogger in Borough.

The day kicked off with drinks in the sun-drenched garden courtyard, setting the tone for a relaxed and convivial atmosphere. This was followed by a delicious lunch in one of the venue’s elegant private dining rooms.

Lively conversation flowed throughout, with plenty of spirited discussion on the state and future of rugby – insightful, passionate and occasionally provocative.

A huge thank you to Jerry Rogers of London Cornish for masterfully organising this year’s gathering. We’re already looking forward to the 2026 edition and to facing off on the pitch in the season ahead!
