Tuesday 19 October saw the sudden death on David "Gilly" Gillam. Our lives were richer and fuller for having him a part of it. So full of wisdom and passion, his faith and family meant so much to him. He will be greatly missed.
His funeral takes place this Thursday (4 November) at 1:15pm at Jesmond Parish Church, Eskdale Terrace, Newcastle Upon Tyne, NE2 4DJ, followed by a reception at St James Park football stadium, the home of Newcastle United.
Please feel free to make donations in lieu of flowers to "Safe Families for Children" (www.safefamilies.uk/donate). A charity that he served as Trustee for many years, as well as directly supporting some vulnerable families.
Parking is limited so where possible use public transport to go the the church and either walk to St James, get the metro or go by taxi. There is no dress code so no obligation to wear black, but smart casual or suit is suitable.
Finally, the crematorium service is by invitation only due to limited numbers so please feel free to head straight over to St James after the funeral service.
