The opening weekend of the new season saw a fine away win for Cobham RFC’s 1st XV at Farnham, but it was a home defeat for the 2nd XV against a London Irish XV.
Tries from Max MacDonald and Tom Farrelly, who converted both scores, saw the 1st XV come away victorious from Farnham by 9-14, in a match that saw Darren Clayton and Ben Keast make their league debuts. However, the 2nd XV were on the wrong end of a 17-49 scoreline at Fairmile Lane.
