President’s Welcome - 2026/27 Season

What a privilege it is to welcome you to another season at Cobham Rugby Club. As I look back over the past year, I am struck not just by how far we have come but by how much further we can still go together.

Growth has been the story of our club. New faces on the touchline, new teams filling out our fixture card and a playing membership that continues to swell across every age group. 

However, growth means nothing without character and Cobham’s character has always been its one club ethic. Whether you pull on a shirt for the mighty 1st XV, turn out for a Sunday morning mini and junior fixture, or cheer from the sideline as a parent, coach or volunteer, you are every bit as much a part of this club as the player scoring the winning try. That sense of belonging, of every section mattering equally, is what makes Cobham special.

It is also what makes us such fun to be around. Our clubhouse has once again been the beating heart of our community – bursting with laughter after training, packed for big match days, and alive with the kind of camaraderie that keeps people coming back season after season.

And on the pitch, our sides have given us plenty to shout about, with performances across the club that reflect the hard work of players and coaches alike.
