18k raised at the Kevin Fisher Testimonial Long Lunch

145 guests representing Esher Rugby, London Irish, London Welsh and Cobham RFC attended the Kevin Fisher Testimonial Long Lunch on Sunday 26 January. Following the diagnosis of a malignant brain tumour in September 2019, Kevin began radio and chemotherapy after 90% of the tumour was successfully removed. With representative caps for all four clubs, all who attended were keen to show support to Kevin and his partner charity, The Lewis Moody Foundation. Compare and Cobham Physio David Silver, auctioneer Billy Davison and Claire Wormley from the Foundation ensured the emotional, poignant and joyful afternoon will live long in the memory. Following the meal, raffle and auction, guests were entertained by singer Neil Belsey accompanied by Kevin’s long time centre partner Arran Cowell’s father, Antz, on guitar.

The Long Lunch was only the start of awareness and fundraising for brain tumour research at Cobham Rugby. The Lewis Moody Foundation / The Brain Tumour Charity will be the clubs dedicated charity partner for the 2020/21season.
