I am pleased to announce that Billy Davison will be returning to Cobham RFC as Director of Rugby. Many of our members will remember Billy as a former Cobham RFC player, captain and coach.
Billy’s playing career also includes 190 appearances for Harlequins as well as seasons with Saracens and Rosslyn Park. He played rugby in France and South Africa, while a career highlight was being part of the Hawke’s Bay team in New Zealand that defeated the British & Irish Lions in 1993.
Billy brings a wealth of experience to his new role. He is a Level 3 qualified coach and was recently named as Surrey Coach of the Year. I am sure that you will join me in welcoming Billy back to Cobham RFC and wish him every success in his new role.
Billy said about his appointment: “Cobham RFC has played a major role in engendering and nurturing my love of rugby for over 30 years. It has been a valued home for me and my family, and I am thrilled to take on this role in the hope of building a successful and welcoming rugby club for many others. I am excited to join a brilliant and professional coaching and player-support team at Cobham RFC.”
