World Cup Final 2019 - great breakfast but no champagne finish

Saturday morning (2 November) saw the clubhouse at Fairmile Lane packed with members and guests anxious to support the England team, in their bid for rugby greatness.

Upstairs, Hot Rocks Catering provided an excellent full English Breakfast, which made a sensible basis for the many pints of beer being sunk at such an early hour. The Sports bar downstairs saw members six deep at the bar, with our dedicated staff doing passable impressions of the Road Runner in order to get people served.

Congratulations to South Africa on a great victory, which made the day for our many South African members, but it was disappointment for the home supporters.
